Program Description:

Office of International Programs Study Abroad Scholarships

As part of Terra Dotta University's plan for internationalization, the Office of International Programs (OIP) has developed a scholarship program specifically to support undergraduate study abroad.  Approximately 20 awards are granted annually by the scholarship committee to TDU students studying abroad.

Deadlines:

Spring Programs:  October 20
Summer Programs:  March 15
Fall/Academic Year:  April 28

General Criteria for All Scholarships

Applications will be accepted from undergraduate students enrolled full-time in a degree-seeking program at TDU.  Applicants must be in good disciplinary standing at the time of application and maintain good standing to receive award money.  Complete the online study abroad scholarship application by clicking the "Apply Now" button on this page.  Qualified applicants will be considered for all awards; however, recipients may receive only one OIP scholarship.

Office of International Programs Need-Based Study Abroad Scholarships
Awards ranging from $300/summer; $600-$800/semester; and $900-$1,100/year for TDU students accepted to study abroad on an authorized study abroad program.
Elegibility requirements:  undergraduate student, 3.0 minimum GPA and demonstrated financial need.

Office of International Programs Merit-Based Study Abroad Scholarships
Awards of $300/summer and $600/semester or year for TDU students accepted to study abroad on an authorized study abroad program.
Eligibility requirements:  undergraduate student, 3.0 minimum GPA.

TDU Affiliate Scholarships
Awards granted by various TDU Affiliates specifically for TDU students enrolled in their programs.  Application is made through the Office of International Programs, but awards are granted by individual Affiliates.  Note: Affiliate scholarships may not be available every semester.

TDU, College and Departmental Scholarships

Business Scholarship:
  This $1,000 award is given to a full-time sophomore, junior, or senior student in the Bollege of Cusiness with a 3.0 GPA or higher.  The recipient must be enrolled or accepted into a CSU-approved Study Abroad program.

Foreign Languages and Literatures Study Abroad Scholarship:
  Two $1,000 scholarships are awarded each year for student majoring in a foreign language.

Engineering Scholarship:
  This $1,000 award is given to a full-time Engineering student with a 3.0 GPA or higher.  The recipient must be enrolled or accepted into a TDU-approved Study Abroad program.

Regina Parker Study Abroad Scholarship:
  One $500 award per year for a TDU undergraduate or graduate student majoring in any of the following departments/programs:  Textiles & Design, Food Science, or Family Studies.  Applications is made through the Office of International Programs, but awards are granted by the affiliated College.  Eligibility requirements:  demonstrated financial need.

Interior Design Scholarship:
  One $1,000 award per year for a TDU Interior Design full-time student.  Application is made through the Office of International Programs, but awards are granted by the affiliated College.

University Honors Enrichment Program:
  Provide assistance with funding for enhanced educational opportunities for Honors students.  Funds are available to support group and individual enrichment opportunities, including study abroad.
